In 2012 Ron Peterson realized a need for step system that would offer fisherman and boat enthusiasts a safe way to enter and exit their boat. Based out of Mt. Pleasant, Texas Ron and his wife Carol started RC Marine Products and developed the Easy Step System. In 2014 As the business began to grow, Ron reached out to Regal Machine MFG in Tyler, Texas to manufacture his steps. This relationship would become a key part of the future of Easy Step System. Regal is a full-service production fabrication and machining facility equipped with modern CNC equipment.
Regal’s diverse equipment list provides services to many different industries including telecom, railroad, DOT, medical, oil & gas, large truck, and many other OEM’s. Regal Machine MFG was started in 1989 by Terry Warren, an experienced tool and die maker, and operations are currently overseen by his son, Blake Warren. In 2019 as Ron was entering retirement Easy Step System was purchased by Blake and Kaci Warren to provide a seamless transition due to the relationship between the two companies.
My name is Blake Warren, and I have the privilege of serving as President of Easy Step. I’ve been married to my wife, Kaci, since 2003, and together we’ve built a life rooted in faith, family, and community. We are lifelong residents of East Texas and currently live on beautiful Lake Hawkins — a place that has truly become the heart of our family life.
We have three incredible children who keep us busy and fulfilled. Our son, Brody, is a sophomore at Hawkins High School, and our daughters, Makena and Jordyn, are both proud students at Texas A&M University. As a family, we love spending time on the lake, whether we’re boating, swimming, or simply enjoying quiet evenings by the water.
In addition to my role at Easy Step, I currently serve as President of the Hawkins ISD School Board, where I’m honored to help support our local students, teachers, and programs. Kaci is equally involved in our community, serving on the Board for the Love Lake Hawkins Association as well as the Hawkins FFA Ag Backers.
Our greatest joy comes from being actively involved in our kids’ lives and supporting them in everything they do. Whether it’s academics, extracurriculars, or community events, we show up — together. Family, service, and small-town pride define who we are, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to invest in the place we call home.
My name is Ryan Gattis, and I’ve been in sales with Easy Step since 2019. Helping people has always been at the core of who I am, and my career has given me the opportunity to build relationships and make a real impact in the lives of others.
Faith and family are the foundation of my life. My wife, Hali, and I have been married since 2014, and together we’re raising two amazing kids, Corbin and Camrin. We’re very involved in our local church, where we lead small groups for all ages—from infants all the way through high school seniors. Being able to pour into the next generation and support families in our community is something we’re deeply passionate about.
I’m also proud to be a part of the Hawkins Education Foundation, where I help raise funds to support the teachers and students of Hawkins Independent School District. Investing in education and giving back to the town that has given us so much is incredibly important to me.
At home, things stay lively thanks to our two dogs, Maverick and Goose. In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my Bermuda lawn, going bowfishing, and watching the Texas Rangers. Whether I’m out on the water or admiring a fresh cut of grass, I find joy in simple things done with pride.
I strive to live a life rooted in service, gratitude, and hard work—and I’m thankful for every opportunity to grow and lead by example.
